For José Joaquín Ortiz, Joyco’s Chairman, “this contract means being able to contribute to quality infrastructure in the Pacific – Orinoquia Connection, especially between Puerto Gaitán and Puente Arimena, which will benefit the locals and those who use this corridor to transport their products”, while highlighting the opportunity for the “generation of employment in the region and knowledge transfer so that future projects in the east can be carried out with high-quality standards”.

Tomás Galassi, R&Q Ingeniería‘s Strategy Director and legal representative in Colombia, stated that “we are proud to be able to continue to contribute with such necessary and long-awaited projects by the community as is the paving and road improvement which aims to guarantee the trafficability of this corridor that is part of the national network and that allows this region to connect with the rest of the country and thus contribute to the economic and social reactivation of the region”.

This contract is valued at $19 billion for a term of 103 months until July 2030, as part of the governmental program ‘Roads for the connection of territories, sustainable growth and reactivation 2.0’, which will be executed by Consorcio Vial 2030, a consortium formed by R&Q Ingeniería Colombia S.A. 50% and Joyco S.A.S. A strategic partnership that grows and strengthens

With this contract award, the two companies strengthen their strategic partnership to contribute their knowledge and experience to the country’s development and progress.

“This contract only strengthens our medium-term relationship with Joyco. A company in which we see a great prestige in terms of the quality and excellence of its services with a great trajectory in Colombia where they have been part of the most relevant investment projects” emphasized Galassi when referring to the commercial partnership.
